Steak with veggies.
SERVES 6
Time: Preparation time: 30 - 45 minutes.
Ingredients:
For marination:
- 1kg chicken breast (fillet)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon meat tenderizer
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 teaspoon soya sauce
- 4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Marinate for 2-4 hours
For Sauce:
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 4 tablespoon barbeque sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon red chili flakes
For veggies:
- 250 g broccoli
- 1 potato cut into cubes
- 1 cup peas
- 250g carrot cut into cubes
- 250g zucchini
For Garlic bread:
- 1 foot long baguette
- 3-4 clove of garlic
- little bit of fresh coriander
- 100 g of butter
Method:
- Take a grill pan and add oil to grease the pan.
- Take the marinated chicken and grill it on the grill pan for 2-3 min. flip the chicken and grill it on other side for 2-3 mins.
- Transfer the cooked fillet into a dish and repeat the steps for leftover breast.
- On the other hand, cut the baguette into small pieces and apply the garlic mixture on both side.
- Boil all the veggies. Strain and sauté them in salt, black pepper and oregano thyme.
- Prepare the sauce, wait until thickens.
- Bake the garlic bread in oven for 7-10 mins on 180C, flipping them half way through until golden brown.
- For serving, add 2 pieces of fillet and pour sauce on top. Add few veggies on side and 2 pieces of garlic bread. For health purposes, add a handful of almonds and raisins.
- Serve hot.
